Ones to Watch Profile: Maddie Ewing
June 13, 2025

Maddie Ewing is not only a dynamic marketing leader—she’s a passionate community builder whose work is making a lasting mark on York County.
As Marketing Manager at Piedmont Medical Center, Maddie leads community engagement and external marketing strategy for York County’s hospital system. Her focus? Strengthening the hospital’s presence, building trust, and supporting its growth as a leading healthcare provider in the region.
And she’s doing just that—by the hundreds of thousands. One of her most significant accomplishments this past year was securing a $180,000, three-year exclusive partnership with Anne Springs Close Greenway, positioning Piedmont as the first-ever Exclusive Healthcare Partner of the Greenway. This innovative collaboration extends Piedmont’s reach well beyond the hospital walls, deepening its commitment to community health and wellness in an authentic and visible way.
But Maddie’s leadership doesn’t stop there. In 2024, she served as Chair of Rock Hill’s beloved ChristmasVille Festival, overseeing a massive community undertaking: more than 50 team leaders, 500 volunteers, 100 sponsors, and 80 vendors came together under her leadership to deliver a record-breaking celebration. The results? Three regional awards recognizing the festival’s community impact, standout marketing, and creative programming. It is no surprise she is back as this year's Festival Chair.
Her resume is packed with partnerships and programs that reflect her deep investment in the place she calls home. From managing sponsorships and CEO engagement at events like Come See Me, the Strawberry Festival, and Girls on the Run, to strengthening relationships with the York County, Lancaster County, and Lake Wylie Chambers, Maddie ensures Piedmont is not just a sponsor—but an active, engaged partner in community progress.
Whether she’s guiding brand strategy, rallying volunteers, or finding new ways to connect people with purpose, Maddie brings intention, heart, and hustle to everything she does. Her work is proof that marketing, when done right, is far more than messaging—it’s community impact in action.
