to News Room Thursday, July 24, 2003 For Immediate Release Leadership York County Accepting Applications Applications are now being accepted for the 2003-2004 Leadership York County program. A program of the Council of Chambers of York County, Leadership York County is committed to developing a group of informed, dedicated and qualified individuals capable of providing dynamic and progressive leadership for our community. The program is an in-depth study of personal and group leadership dynamics involving activities designed to illustrate positive leadership opportunities. Leadership York County participants will meet monthly from September – April beginning with an overnight program retreat. Program days include presentations focusing on Team Building, Personal Development, Government, Health/Human Services, Education/Community Issues, Crisis Communications/Media and Economic Development. Participants are also required to develop and implement a group project to benefit the York County community and to complete the “York County Passport” program outside of regular class meetings. Enrollment is limited to 30 participants with selection being based on previously demonstrated and potential leadership ability and community involvement. Applications must be received by August 8, 2003. All applicants will be notified regarding acceptance into the program by August 15.
