to News Room For more information: Trudie Heemsoth, Fort Mill Area Council Director, York County Regional Chamber, (803) 547-5900 or theemsoth@yorkcountychamber.com November 3, 2003 CHAMBER TO HOLD EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS FORUM "RIDING OUT THE STORM" The York County Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting an Emergency Preparedness Forum entitled "Riding Out The Storm" on Wednesday, November 12 at the Hampton Inn-Rock Hill. Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m. The forum will run from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. and admission is one non-perishable food item. "Riding Out the Storm" will provide advice for the business community on how to prepare for, cope with, and recover from severe storms and their effects, such as power outages. The forum will include a panel discussion moderated by Tim Gause of Duke Energy. Panelists will include Cody Phillips of the City of Rock Hill, Cotton Howell of York County Emergency Services and David Simril of Comporium Communications. Time will be allotted for questions and answers following the forum. Event sponsors are Hampton Inn-Rock Hill and Comporium Communications. Please bring one non-perishable food item for admission. All food items will be donated to Pilgrim's Inn and Fort Mill Care Center. Prior registration is requested.
