Recent News submitted by York County Regional Chamber Members: Upper Palmetto Chapter of the American Red Cross announces Katharine Yvonne Shuster Correll, of Charlotte, NC, has recently joined the organization as Executive Director. Prior to joining the Red Cross, Ms. Correll served as assistant vice president for development at Gardner-Webb University. Preceding her appointment as assistant vice president for development, Katharine held the positions of director of development and campaign associate. During her tenure at Gardner-Webb, Ms. Correll increased the annual fund revenue by 20 percent, lowered the operating budget, substantially contributed to cultivate and stewardship of $10 million of a $45 million campaign while personally raised over $1 million for the campaign. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Literatures and Cultures in English from Brown University, and an Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law. Based in Rock Hill, the Upper Palmetto Chapter manages Red Cross services in Chester, Lancaster, and York Counties.
