Application and Selection
To be eligible for the 2010-2011 YouLead program, students must be rising juniors or seniors (entering 11th or 12th grade) in Clover, Fort Mill, Rock Hill or York School Districts, Westminster Catawba or other chamber-member institution. Students who are well-rounded and in good academic standing will be considered.
Applications will be available online and through your school’s guidance office in early Spring. From all applications received, finalists from each school may be invited to interview with the Youth Leadership selection committee. Two students from each high school will be accepted into the program. At-large representatives will be selected at the discretion of the Selection Committee.
Selection of finalists will be blind, and determined solely on responses to the questions on page two of the application and on interview outcomes. Students on academic probation or who have been involved in disciplinary incidents will not be eligible for participation in YouLead.
Council of Chambers & Other Supporters The Council of Chambers of York County is made up of the Clover Chamber of Commerce, Greater York Chamber of Commerce, Lake Wylie Chamber of Commerce and the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce.
The City of Rock Hill has provided transportation for each YouLead program day and countless other local businesses and organizations support the group by giving their time and resources throughout the year.
