Attendance Policy
The following attendance requirements reflect the commitment necessary to receive a meaningful experience from YouLead.

Participants are required to attend the one-day retreat and all other sessions. One excused absence may be allowed at the discretion of the YouLead Planning Committee. Students must notify the Youth Leadership York County Staff Advisor in advance of an absence.

Students participating in the program will miss as many as three school days previously approved by each school district. Students are responsible for communicating with teachers and for making up missed school work.


Transportation
All YouLead participants will be responsible for transportation to and from a central meeting place on each program day. From there, the group will travel together by bus, courtesy of the Upper Palmetto YMCA. Participants will not be permitted to drive personal vehicles during a YouLead session.

Clothing
Casual dress is recommended, including comfortable shoes (no flip-flops). YouLead t-shirts will be provided for each participant - bare midriff or sleeveless shirts are not permitted. Shorts may be worn at the retreat only. Jeans and appropriate length skirts are permitted unless otherwise noted. Participants will be meeting with community leaders and should keep that in mind when selecting their attire.
