The Purpose of YouLead
Youth Leadership York County (YouLead) is a leadership development program designed to provide local emerging and existing young leaders with the tools to develop individual leadership skills, influence their schools, and contribute to their communities.


Overview
Youth Leadership York County (YouLead) begins in August with an informational reception for students and parents, followed by a one-day retreat filled with team-building exercises, project planning and leadership profiles.

The program then continues monthly for eight months as area leaders in business, government, media, education and service organizations come together to inform and enlighten students on issues concerning York County.

During each session, topics will be addressed through activities that highlight challenges and opportunities in the York County area. Program days will include tours of local industries, meetings with area business leaders and government officials, and life-skills exercises.

Students who successfully complete the program will graduate from YouLead in Spring of 2012.
