CHAMBER LYCO Class Project
Each year, members of the Leadership York County (LYCO) class are asked to work as a team to identify a specific need in our community, research available resources, and create and implement a service project to meet that need.
This year's class has partnered with the Upper Palmetto Chapter of HHK which exists to provide safe hunting/camping/fishing experiences for children in York County. The group promotes life-skills and safety techniques for children interested in healthy outdoor activities. LYCO is creating a family-fun day called I Venture to help create awareness and excitement for the agency and to provide some much-needed funding to support the group's volunteer/participant recruitment goals. The I Venture event is scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Westminster Park. The LYCO group is also securing several long-term partnerships for HHK with other related organizations in York County.
